Will you accept the gift?

Do you know what God and His only Son did for you?  Yes, YOU, personally.  The person reading this message.  God sent His only Son into our world as a man like us to live, suffer and die as a man like us.  But because His Son, Jesus Christ, lived without sin, he rose from the dead.  When Jesus died, He took your sins and all the sins of all those who accept His gift, onto his soul.  And our sins died with Him.  Then when Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven, He took our sins with Him as a man and He paid the price of our sins for us.

Do you understand and feel the power of that choice he made?

Do you understand that while Jesus was hanging on the cross we put him on, while He anguished in mortal pain and felt the sorrow of being treated so poorly by those He loved so deeply, that He could have asked His father to make the entire planet disappear in the blink of an eye?  He did not.  Do you understand that since Jesus was a man, like us, He had the gift of free will from His father?  That He could have chosen NOT to accept pain and death?  And yet, He did choose it because it was the will of God.  And because He loved YOU.

Do you feel the power of His sacrifice?  Without His surrendering to the will of God, you would not be here today.  Are you sad that someone who loved you so completely was made to suffer as He was?  How do you feel about knowing that all your sins, all your soulful debts, are paid?  That because these debts are paid you may share a life of eternal peace and joy because you may share in the intimate presence of God?  The one and only God whose love is so great and so pure it is beyond our imagining.  Do you feel grateful that someone else has paid your debts for you?  Then thank Him!  Accept the gift!  And share it with others.

Celebrate it!        Live it!        Share it!        Give it!

If you truly feel the power of that gift and the power of gratitude, you will want to live your life the way Jesus did.  Listen to that voice!  It is the voice of God calling to you from within you because God is inside you.  God is love and loves you.  God gives himself to you.

Won't you accept that gift and give your love to God by sharing it with others?
