Please consider adding a prayer fast to your efforts. Please consider engaging, with civility of course, other faith traditions in the public square on this topic. It is not just Catholic Religious Expression and Conscience at stake – it is ALL faiths. At stake are:

Our Constitutional Liberty of Religious Expression

Our Catholic hospital’s (1/3 of all hospitals in the USA) ability to server the poor and needy – for if these hospitals are forced to choose between this edict and not offering such health insurance – they are likely to lose staff, lose funding, face fines and worse: potentially having to close their doors. Where is the justice, mercy and compassion for those they serve?

Most importantly, the continued erosion of the value of life in our nation.

This survey is a follow up from the letter you received from Fr. McFadden. The Parish has spent over a year and a half identifying needs of the parish. The Master Plan Committee and the Buildings and Grounds Committee has recommended to Father that our next step is to build a new Administration Building.

We need your thoughts on the project and hopefully, your support. Please take a couple of minutes to help us determine the direction the parish should take in this venture.

THANK YOU!

There is a new Catholic Radio station in our area! Holy Family Radio (a member of the EWTN Radio Network) is broadcasting at 720 on the AM dial. You may also visit them on the web at: http://www.yourholyfamilyradio.com/

Check it out!

[Updated 10-Oct-2011 after a representative visited the parish on Sunday 9-Oct-2011]

A note of thanks to all the families of The St. Theresa that pledged their financial support to WHYF AM720 Holy Family Radio.

We were overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response given by the people pledged your parish. During the weekend presentations, 129 families filled out pledge cards totaling $7,530. This going a long way in helping us achieve our goal of $650,000 to cover the costs associated with the purchase, operation and overhead of the radio station. Thank you, again, for your prayers and support. God Bless You!

My sincerest thanks to all of you who took the time to express your preference for the Sunday Mass Schedule these past few weeks. Realizing that change is something that many of us resist, change is indeed a part of life and the need to adapt to changing times and circumstances. Many of you expressed alternate times for Mass and ways in which to shorten the celebration of Mass and the challenges that our limited parking around the church will continue to pose most especially to our senior parishioners. Please be assured that we took many of these thoughts into consideration when we proposed the two schedules for your consideration. That being said, the majority of parishioners have chosen this schedule: Sunday, 8:00am, 10:00am and 12:00pm. This schedule will take effect on Sunday, July 3, 2011. Saturday evening Mass will continue to be celebrated at 5:30pm. Again, thank you for your input.

~ Fr. J. Michael McFadden
